Women’s Concealed Carry – Should You Carry? FateofDestinee

www.youtube.com www.youtube.com As a female, I have a personal interest on the subject of women’s conceal carry. Remember when I uploaded the video Concealed Carry – Are You Prepared, or Paranoid? It fostered a great deal of discussion. Some of the comments I received on that video expressed the notion that “if you carry, you should always carry.” The reason behind that mindset is that your firearm does you no good if you don’t have it. However, I started wondering, should you really always carry? I think there are certain circumstances, and even certain individuals, where carrying is not recommended. With regard to whether or not it’s advisable to carry, I’d like to discuss three things in particular. Say, for example, your first interest in firearms is spawned from a desire for self defense. You purchase your pistol and obtain your concealed carry permit, but you’re still not overwhelmingly familiar with firearms. Should you just “wing it” and learn as you go? Or is it better to first get some training, for example, learning to draw from a holster, improve mag changes, or hone in your accuracy, before you start carrying a handgun? Speaking of training, some of my friends on YouTube – Range Time with Cory and Erika – are hosting some upcoming training. If you’re interested, I’d recommend checking them out. They have great information, and they’re cool people. Another element of carrying to consider is its practicality. Because I’m in college, I often have the need to

  1. soo the video says should woman carry ..y the hell not..if it is the law for u not to carry, then obay it..if it is not the law, and u can carry, than have at her.responsibility is a good feeling thing.

  2. traing is essential for anny typ of skill.hypothertically talking, there is a huge diffrence between killing and murder.there is no justification in taking a life.that dose not mean that person has made a conscious thought to carry out an act of violence.in malice or defence.defence of killing,is not murder.dealing with the act of killing,is a person own choice in a hostial life therating situation.traing will help in making better choices.identifying surroundings. fight or flight.

  3. my P.O.V.on this suject is diffrent.i do belive in C.C.W..firearm owners r relatively level headed ppl.should have right to carry annyplace, exception of a court houes.i feel,if a person is met with a clear and present armed threat, even in a gun free zone.that indavidual has the right to netralize the armed threat.before it gets even worse.even without traing in firearms.firearm owners will comply with the laws.that is what separates us from the criminals.

  4. So don’t advertise you are carrying … Either because you are printing, don’t have it completely concealed, or any other possible way.

  5. This could actually cause you to loose your permit and even be charged if the other person lies to the police and claims you flashed your gun.

  6. Further, concealed carry means just that. If it becomes obvious you are carrying a handgun you will most likely find yourself discussing the situation with a police officer as someone will report you to the police not knowing you are a “good guy” with a permit.

  7. Another well done video. One thing that causes people with concealed carry permits to stop carrying I when and where it is legal is their gun/holster set up is uncomfortable or not suitable for the clothing they want to wear at a particular time of year. If you are serious about concealed carry you probably need to have multiple guns and/or holsters and also plan for it in your clothing selection. This may seem obvious but it can be expensive and undesirable at some times.

  8. One of my viewers, 1911Doctor, made the pendent for me from solid titanium, knowing that the .45 ACP is my favorite caliber. So, it’s a one of a kind 😀

  9. The law passed in July of 2011, went into effect November of 2011, so it has been just over a year that we’ve had the right to CCW :]

  10. saw your red dodge neon at the parking lot in this video, btw is it true that Wisconsin had just passed it CCW permit about 2 years ago back in 2010?

  11. I believe everyone should have the option and the choice but No not every one should carry everyday. If your not ready or able to use it…then why carry at all.

  12. maybe you don’t think enough about it. she’s just giving people questions to think about if they don’t know about guns. there is nothing wrong with that. there are people who will buy a gun and carry it but would not be able to pull the trigger if need be.

  13. I carry everyday all day. I believe it is better to be prepared than surprised. If someone steps over the line and starts killing people or attempted to kill me they took their life in their on hands. AMAT VICTORY CURAM

  14. Just my opinion, but a good CCW instructor will teach good draw and reloading technique. Also, I like James Yeager’s opinion on the subject. “There is a difference between ALLOWED and ABLE.” I don’t go around advocating law-breaking, but am I willing to risk facing fines or even jail-time if it means I can possibly save lives? Absolutely. That’s one thing all CCW holders should consider. Are you carrying to save just your life or your family’s? Or will you put others under your protection too?
