Wrong. If a guy pulls that on me, I will think that he is so desperate to call me, that he doesn’t trust me with his number. He is assuming, that I don’t want to call him. He has to trust me to call, otherwise he looks too insecure. If I wasn’t planing to call him, then I would sure as hell not pick up the phone after he pulled that trick. Sorry.. you have a lot of great advise, but this we disagree on.

Deliver any of these lines with a warm smile and simply walk away. If she asks for your phone number “instead” it’s cause she doesn’t want to give it out. Justifying yourself with tacky gentlemen lines is, in fact, needy and creepy.
