Oh come on, don’t try to find some deep meaning to it, he was right that it was just an absurd way of showing her independence. Every time I enter college and some guy opens the door for me or makes space so that I can go first, I totally do and feel nothing of selling myself to him (lol!) nor do I feel like on a date. Actually, when a guy walks in just ahead of my face or makes me wait for him to come in/go out, I feel he is being rude towards me.
If he tells a joke, LAAAUGH. lol hopefully I won’t need to force myself 😀

you are totally right. He’s got a problem, when a woman does not want or reciproke his advances, there’s another video about that. But just as guys have the right to choose whether to call her & ask her out or not, girls have the same right to be closed towards a guy or start a flirt. Yes, that’s rejection, if she is polite but not very accessible, but men reject women, too ! That’s just a part of life that everybody has to accept, fulstop.
Saying men would rather have a girl make them feel funny than make them laugh implies that seeking approval is paramount. I guess because it’s a date that makes sense, but being that focused on validation on the first date sounds like a rocky start to me…

It was nice of you to be polite to a perfect stranger. I would have accepted your kindness. However, she wasn’t on a date with you, so she wasn’t trying to sell herself to you, as if you were both on a date together. In addition, remember that she did say, “Thank you.” Lastly, this is why women don’t talk to men off the street. The moment men feel rejected, they say the woman has a problem. Some men are very vocal about it. That is scary! We are allowed to make our own choices.

I’m not quite sure. If you think it’s going to fast you should tell him that, and if he doesn’t respect your wishes or you in general I would suggest maybe explaining to him why you feel like you do. Give him another chance, and afterwards if the same thing happens again tell him that it just isn’t working out.
Just noticed the ring on his finger… hopes dashed… but it’s on his right hand… hope renewed? If only…
