It is a power of suggestion to the subconscious to get one to change a habit or way of thinking among other things. Look at a stage hypnostist for example. You can hear them telling subjects that they cannot or will not feel or do something without regard to careful wording. These commands often use negative wording and do not produce an opposite effect.
It’s not bull at all. Negative words do NOT prevent your subconscious mind from picturing/imagining/re-living/experiencing whatever emotion or feeling is described immediately after the word. An embedded command such as “You shouldn’t feel good” if delivered properly, will have the effect of causing the client to begin to feel good. Because the subconscious mind FIRST has to process and experience the intended state/feeling with no regard as to the fact you were told NOT to do so.
