I know that seems like a contradiction, but it is not. There is all sorts of sexual confusion that can occur in a person’s life. If a woman is not sexually interested in other woman, but she has experimented, or been sexually confused in the past, she isn’t a lesbian or bisexual. She is a straight woman who has had homosexual experiences. But many straight people who cannot relate to this feel that those who can relate don’t fall into the same group or classification.
Things are not as simple as gay bi and straight, and a homosexual experience or even 15 for that matter do not prove homosexuality. For one, nobody would ever call a gay man who has had sexual experiences with women straight. If the man says he is gay, you generally take his word for it. Now, some bi or gay men might be ashamed of their sexuality, or even confused, and thus label themselves straight. But there are other explanations for homosexual experiences that simply homosexuality.
