He spent the night at my place, was a complete gentleman, slept on the couch, and stayed for my birthday party. The next week he came to my town again (this past Sunday), and we went ugly Christmas sweater searching, had our first kiss in the rain. Just an idea, you don’t necessarily need a big plan, you just have to be willing to let the date take you where it will.
The next week, he came to the town I live, which is about 40 minutes away, and we went antiquing, found this amazing book, and found out that the writer was from the town where I live. He turned out to be dead, but we found his son’s address, and decided to take an adventure to his house. He no longer lived there, but the adventure was random and fun, then we went to my friends Christmas art show, had a few drinks, interacted with others and really enjoyed the night.
Just starting seeing this guy, we started talking and it was about a month before we went on our first date. He took me to EMP in Seattle, and up in the Space Needle, then we walked around Capitol Hill for a few hours. The next date, which was a few weeks later, for my birthday, he took me on a ferry ride because I said I had never ridden on a boat.

My husband took me to a concert for or first date! he actually sang me a song from the same band the night we first met… So sentimental and sweet. He sung it to me at the concert in my ear too 🙂
