It’s really sad. In the 60’s, NASA used to go out with girls all the time, but since those bad breakups in 1986 and 2003 they just sit around and browse reddit. It’s fun to imagine them approaching a girl again, but at this point they probably don’t even have the know-how to make a soft landing any more. And what’s the point of risking another searing national tragedy, just to be humiliated again? She’d probably be happier with Elon Musk anyway.

You should try between 8-10 years of planning. I am currently in planning to talk to that cute girl at the grocery store, and I’m quite confident I will be able to make eye contact with her in 2016. After that, it’s only a matter of decades until I have convinced myself to try and talk to her.
