Aaliyah was a great singer listen to ‘The One I Gave My Heart To’ & ‘Giving Up’ she’s giving you Whitney vocals then listen to ‘At Your Best’, her voice becomes soothing, smooth & ethereal. Being a great singer is not about power it’s about versatility, range, clarity, agility etc. Aaliyah had ALL of that.

God I miss Aaliyah!! I always think of how the game would be if she were still here. Would there be any of the female R&B/Hip-Hop artists out today?
