Savitri narrates to her daughters that seeing Saraswati’s plight, she had thought of asking Suryakant for the money but had changed her mind as he’d already spent so much for the wedding. She had then remembered about the money Chanchal had left with her before leaving town, and was sure that Chanchal wouldn’t mind if she would be told that it was for Saraswati. Savitri requests Lakshmi not to tell anybody because Suryakant would get furious if they learnt that the money belonged to Chanchal. Lakshmi then wonders who had taken the money from the safe. Later, Lakshmi warns her mother that Saraswati’s in-laws will continue to demand more money from them but Savitri assures her that everything will be fine.
