Okay; what do you meat by “be completely there with them?” When I talk to girls, they get excited to the point where they get giggly and embarrassed (I think) and want to end the conversation before they say something, they think, I would think is silly. I remember a girl telling me with a smile on her face,”I get so nervous/flusterd when you are standing in front of me.” BTW, I like girls who are relatively laid- back.
