I believe it is the fact that health insurance companies, force such high and seemingly unnecessary requirements on these facilities that causes problems with the health care system in our country. I think the health CARE is excellent, the health INSURANCE is fucking it up.

I am assuming US medical facilities need to be accredited by this association in order for insurance to approve visits (because of the liability reduction) I am going to assume this increases costs

Why don’t you start by googling “medical tourism.” There you will find over 10 million results for Americans who need to travel to countries like India, Thailand and Mexico to get operations because they cannot afford to get it done here. And these are middle class Americans WITH insurance.
You need to open your mind and stop relying on right wing talking points. There are tens of thousands of Americans who are forced to go overseas annually for care.

I don’t know of anyone in american leaving the US to go get procedures done in another country. I DO know of multiple instances where people have come to the US to get procedures done and people in countries with socialized medicine who prefer private sector healthcare.

The only difference here is that a jackass in a cubicle in Ohio denies your operation because it costs Blue Cross too much after you paid premiums for years. In France or England, you are far more likely to be able to get an expensive operation than you are here. American health care is great, if you happen to be a millionaire, that is.
