It’s easy to give up early. I have had the issue of getting to know a girl just enough that we flirt quite a bit, but we still learn things about each other every meeting. Unfortunately, its when the final declaration “I want you to come with me to (insert function here)” and she makes it very clear its just as friends. Its to the point if you don’t know straight away that she is interested, don’t spend any effort. Otherwise, you WILL spend time and money just to go out a loser.

I fucking give up. It’s not worth the humiliation and self-doubt. I’d rather hang with my friends and just do hobbies. In any case, I was miserable when I was married and have lots of friends in the same boat in relationships. Most women aren’t worth the trouble and aren’t worthy of any more than a hookup.
